Abigail (Sarah Abbott) will play a big part in The InBetween Episode 4 as she meets Cassie (Harriet Dyer) once again. There will be a new high-level murder case that the detectives need to solve and another visit from the dead.
"Cassie is drawn to a young mother who needs her help and encounters young Abigail once again," "Another Broken Morning" official synopsis read. "Tom [Paul Blackthorne] and Damien [Justin Cornwell] investigate a complicated murder that has international ramifications."
Meanwhile, Cindy Luna talked about her stint in The InBetween as Det. Maria Salinas after her role as Conchita Barros in The Last Ship. Compared to the recently-concluded TNT series, the new NBC drama has some supernatural stuff that she has never done before.
Working as a detective in The InBetween will test Luna's ability as an actress. But, it will surely stretch her wings and hone her talent.
Luna told Hidden Remote she personally got hooked in the show as an actress and a Latin woman. Seeing a role like Det. Salinas interests her and allows her to play the character of an investigator. As there are emerging drug-dealing-related shows for Latinos, she wanted to play a role that is on the other side of it - the detective and legal side.
Luna praised the show creator Moira Kirkland for creating "amazing female roles" in The InBetween pilot. She went on to say that the women's strength in the script quickly grabbed her, aside from the fact that she wanted to play a detective's role.
The first season has yet to reveal anything much about Det. Salinas. But Luna assured there would be more about her role. There would be a lot of procedural work for the character, as she has many cases to figure out.
From here, fans can know her real personality, a woman who can stand on her own. "She's used to being under pressure and totally fine being around men, and she's a strong Latin woman who works really hard," she added.
Fans will learn more about Det. Salinas in the series' future episodes. The show is only four episodes deep, so the network still has six episodes to feature to know more about the character. The InBetween Episode 5 is due for release on Wednesday, July 10, at 10 p.m. on NBC.
