For over two decades now, The View is still one of the most watched talk shows on television. While the show is making a lot of progress, especially when the current season largely focused on politics, the politics inside the production is also becoming more apparent.
This notion had become so much more evident when The Daily Beast released a headline a few days ago that one of its hosts, Meghan McCain, may exit the show.
According to the publication, Meghan McCain is experiencing like a "caged animal" within the vicinity of The View. Also, they revealed that an insider further contended that the host is "seriously" considering leaving and calling it a day.
The terms "exhausted" and "defeated" are also dramatically emphasized in describing Meghan McCain's current situation with the popular talk show. Accordingly, the theories and speculations that she might no longer take part in The View Season 23 are now making a noise all over the media.
Following the shocking headline, several publications went on to learn the truth behind the controversy. And as per Variety, The View, along with its parent network, ABC, is still expecting Meghan McCain to return for the upcoming season of the show.
Also, ABC News released a statement afterward claiming that Meghan alongside the co-hosts of the talk show did enjoy the season. And with this at hand, they are looking forward to everyone's return for a much epic year ahead of them.
It is also worth noting that Deadline published a similar headline that somehow puts an end to all of the controversies and theories with Meghan leaving the show for good. And based on what they have gathered, the executive producer of The View, Hilary Estey McLoughlin, believes that Meghan "loves" to be on the show. Also, she perceives that Meghan sees the show as a great "platform" for her. So, there is no reason at all for her to leave.
But of course, many people have pointed out that Meghan McCain usually had "on-air" clashes with her co-hosts, especially Joy Behar. Some of the viewers see these disputes as unhealthy ties which only gave justice to the possible exit of the former senator's daughter.
Even so, the network has remained positive about the matter. But as for Meghan McCain, no word has heard from her yet. So, the best way to learn if these reports are true is to wait for the new season's arrival.
