Fans have to wait a little longer to see the Dutton family returns to the small screen in Yellowstone Season 2 Episode 3. Viewers didn't have the chance to see "The Reek of Desperation" on its usual Wednesday schedule to give way to the celebrations of the Fourth of July.
The show's official Twitter account broke the bad news after Episode 2, "New Beginnings," ended. "And that's a wrap on episode two! The bad news: There's no new @Yellowstone next week because of the July 4th holiday," it said. "The good news: We've only just begun. In two weeks, we're coming back with an all-new episode!"
It would be a two-week worth of wait before fans continue to see the Duttons back to the business. John (Kevin Costner) and Kayce (Luke Grimes) will return to work as the latter is about to take more responsibility at the ranch, per Good Housekeeping.
Of course, there will still be more drama in Yellowstone Season 2 Episode 3 as more businesses will emerge to rival the Duttons. The new villain, Malcolm Beck (Neal McDonough), will be finally introduced as the family's latest and most dangerous enemy. From the looks of it, the show will make it up to fans after its brief hiatus by featuring more intense turn of events.
Meanwhile, Daily Caller revealed the official set photos of "The Reek of Desperation." It gives the first glimpse to Malcolm after his absence from the first two episodes. Jamie (Wes Bentley) also returns on the ranch with his family, while Thomas (Gil Birmingham) is inside an office.
Jamie may already pick his side as he shows his loyalty to his family that may continue throughout the season. With Jamie's return and the new villain's introduction, things will surely be intense in the upcoming episode.
Fans should see how McDonough will portray his role as the Dutton's antagonist. As the 53-year-old star is known for perfectly portraying dark and intimidating roles, he would surely give justice to his new character as Malcolm.
But whatever is up to Malcolm's sleeve, the Dutton family will surely be ready for him and defend their ranch. Yellowstone Season 2 Episode 3, "The Reek of Desperation," will return on its usual Wednesday schedule on July 10 at 10 p.m. on Paramount Network.
