Read at your own risks: This article contains spoilers for The Flash Season 6.
It has been weeks already ever since The Flash Season 5 has concluded. But while the show is currently on its season break, new reports are circulating already that the production has started filming the new season.
Apparently, it has been already revealed a few months ago that The CW has commissioned two new seasons for the DC-adapted series. And right now, one of these installments is already on its way to the television.
Accordingly, fans have become so much more excited for the new installment's arrival. This is because the finale of the fifth season has left the fans in the dark, especially that Godspeed is now introduced in the course of The Flash. But fortunately for the whole fandom, new details have emerged recently about the upcoming season of the show.
As per Screen Rant, very little is known about the plot of the sixth season. In fact, no details have been shared about the actual premise of the following episodes. Nevertheless, a lot of details were given which allowed the fandom to theorize and speculate things that could happen in the plot.
In an interview with the series showrunners, it has been revealed that the main plot of The Flash Season 6 is largely foreshadowed in the second half of the previous season. And as any fan would recall, the latter storylines revolved around Barry and Iris' superhero daughter, and how she's connected to Eobard Thorne.
Therefore, the starting point of the new season will definitely focus on Eobard Thorne's Reverse-Flash persona. And as it happens, Meaww has confirmed that Reverse-Flash will play an integral role in the upcoming season of The Flash.
Although Reverse-Flash is characterized as a villain to Barry Allen's Flash, there are reports that state that there will be a new big bad villain when the new season arrives. TV Line further revealed that this new big bad might be the end of Barry Allen.
Quite obviously, Barry Allen might meet his unfortunate demise. Even so, this will surely come with a lot of twists as the show is already set to run for one more season after the sixth.
It is also worth noting that this "demise" is largely theorized as the starting point of the Crisis on Infinite Earths. But even so, these are just mere theories created by most of the fans based only on the details that have surfaced recently.
The Flash Season 6 will premiere on October 8, on The CW.
