HBO's hit Big Little Lies Season 2 is already approaching its finale. And as the current season digs deeper into the lies of the Monterey Five, things are becoming a lot messier than before. Even so, it seemingly appears that everyone is trying to be confident amid the revelations that have surfaced from the past.
While the Monterey Five is trying to calm down, the new teaser for the upcoming episode hints that things might become more complicated. As it appears, it looks like the secret behind the death of Perry will now be revealed.
In the last few moments of Big Little Lies Season 1, the finale left the fans in shock as Perry was pushed down the stairs leading him to his demise. In order to protect Bonnie, the Monterey women cover up his death. And this is where the course of the second season has started.
Perry's death has emerged the appearance of his mother, Mary Louise, who is played by the newly added cast member, Meryl Streep. But while she claims to just be around for Celeste and the twins, she actually went in town to discover what really happened to Perry. Apparently, she believes that his death is not an accident.
Aside from her hidden yet a rigorous investigation, the teaser for Big Little Lies Season 2 Episode 5 shows that she is coming on an all-out war with Celeste. This is because she wants to have full custody of the twins as she notices that Celeste is not well.
But being the mother that Celeste is, she will definitely not agree with this. Hence, the battle for custody would surely be emphasized in the upcoming episode.
Another aspect that is largely hinted in the teaser is the possibility that the ultimate secret of the Monterey Five will now be uncovered. And this does not only involve Mary Louise but the authorities as well. So, it seems like they will face a much bigger problem when Big Little Lies Season 2 returns for a new episode.
The chance of having a huge revelation come the next episode is at an all-time high. This is actually in consideration of the fact that the current season has only a total of seven episodes and now it is heading towards the fifth installment.
Big Little Lies Season 2 Episode 5 titled, Kill Me, is set to premiere on July 7, on HBO.
