The christening of a Royal baby is an important event, not only for the family but for the whole of England as well. With this in mind, people usually dissect every little detail that happened during the service, from the godparents and guests to their outfits.
While everybody’s eyes were on Archie, who was wearing the same replica Honiton gown that was previously worn by his cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, Kate Middleton caught people’s attention with her accessory of choice during the christening. In the official family photo, it was clear that the Duchess of Cambridge was wearing Princess Diana's Collingwood pearl earrings.
The decision to wear the beautiful pair is not just some random though; it was a sweet and touching tribute to Princess Diana. You see, the Princess of Wales wore those earrings to Prince Harry’s christening. Now that it was his son being christened, Kate Middleton wore them to the event.

This is enough proof to believe that Princess Diana is still very much part of Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle’s life. Although the Princess of Wales is not physically present during Archie’s christening, the Duchess of Cambridge made sure that she’s going to be a part of it.
Meanwhile, Archie’s godparents were not revealed, but since Prince Harry’s former nanny Tiggy Legge-Bourke was present, many believed that she might be one of the godparents. Two other people who are thought to be Archie’s godparents are Jessica Mulroney, who is a Canadian fashion stylist and Meghan’s best friend, and English businessman, investment executive, and the Duke of Sussex’ best friend, Charlie Van Straubenzee.
There are also speculations that Archie is going to have godparents that are pretty famous like George and Amal Clooney, Serena Williams, and Prince William and Kate Middleton.

After the ceremony, a Royal Communications spokesperson said: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to share the happiness of this day, and would like to thank everyone around the world for their ongoing support. They feel so fortunate to have enjoyed this special moment with family and Archie’s godparents."
