A lot is about to happen in Big Little Lies Season 2 Episode 6 as it will serve as the season's penultimate episode. "The Bad Mother" will pave the way to the season finale, which may also count as the series finale overall.

The episode title itself seems to indicate what "The Bad Mother" will be about. According to CarterMatt, it may be a reference to Mary Louise and the things she had done to Perry when he was still young.
It may also be about Celeste and how Mary Louise thinks about her. It looks like it has been Streep's role to bring madness on Kidman's character. She has been tormenting and hurting her in different ways to throw blame to others because of Perry's actions.
Mary Louise may still be in pain and wants to blame others than herself for what happened. She may want Celeste to hold accountable for what occurred in the past.
As the show is now on its penultimate episode, there are a lot of things fans expect to happen here. Celeste has a hard time to fight off Mary Louise. So in Big Little Lies Season 2 Episode 6, her friends are about to arrive to testify on her innocence.
According to Mirror News, Celeste may finally reveal the truth about Perry's death in "The Bad Mother," and it looks like she is about to make a big exposé. Mary Louise seems to be desperate to blindside Celeste that even Jane (Shailene Woodley) confronted her at home.
Jane pointed out how much Celeste is dealing with. However, Mary Louise seemed to sense Jane's guilt that made things more complicated. Big Little Lies Season 2 Episode 6, "The Bad Mother," is due for release on Sunday, July 14 on HBO.
