A new theory suggests that Kylo will fulfill his destiny, which is to finally defeat Emperor Sheev Palpatine.
The return of Sheev Palpatine has been the source of several fan theories considering that the Emperor is believed to have been killed off in Return of the Jedi. However, it is clear that Palpatine's story is far from over, and he could play a pivotal role in The Rise of Skywalker. But did Kylo Ren know about Sheev's fate even before the events in Star Wars: The Force Awakens? There is a possibility that Kylo has been looking for Palpatine all this time because he wants to be the one to ultimately destroy the Emperor.
The theory suggests that Ben Solo learned early on that Palpatine survived the fall in Return of the Jedi and decided to make it his mission to eliminate the Emperor for good.
