"Protection" will delve into the aftermath of what happened to Ruby (Rarriwuy Hick) after she got hospitalized in the previous season. The inmates' intertwined lives will continue as they finally learn what caused Ruby's dangerous condition.
"The officers and prisoners find out what really happened to Ruby, as Marie's [Susie Porter] fall from grace continues as a transfer may be on the cards her protector wants her silenced permanently," Wentworth Season 7 Episode 8 official synopsis read. "As Allie [Kate Jenkinson] finally grows up and realizes what Marie has done, Liz [Celia Ireland] promises to look after Boomer [Katrina Milosevic]."
Fans are about to see what will happen next to Ruby and Rita (Leah Purcell) in the new episode, "Protection," and what action Jackson (Robbie Magasiva) will do against Vera (Kate Atkinson). Vera faced Jackson and even let Rita see Ruby in the hospital behind his back.
Rita was taken to an isolation cell after Marie provoked her. But even though she was in solitary confinement, Vera allowed her to visit Ruby, who's already saved and gained consciousness. However, Jackson learned what Vera did and would let her pay for her actions in Wentworth Season 7 Episode 8.
Meanwhile, many years have passed since Bea Smith left the Wentworth Detention Center, but Danielle Cormack's appearance in the television series is still one of the "biggest and most memorable moments" in Aussie TV history. The 48-year-old star is still known for her character as an inmate in Wentworth. Even though she was last seen in the show in 2016, she still likes to talk about her time behind bars and have a little chat with fans.
Cormack had been a part of the series since it started in 2013. At the time, she said at the Wentworth Con in New York, via 7News, that prisoner was a massive hit around the world. So when Wentworth came out, they had "bated breath" to see how people around the world would receive their show.
But when she got invites at fan conventions in different countries, she saw how people loved the series. "It can be a little daunting, but if there weren't fans of our work, we wouldn't be in work," she explained.
Cormack has been long gone, but the show continuously gains success. Wentworth Season 7 Episode 8, "Protection," will be out on Tuesday, July 16, at 8:30 p.m. on Showcase Channel in Australia.
