The world lost one of its most beloved icons when Princess Diana died in a tragic car accident in 1997, but now, a four-year-old boy is being touted as her reincarnation after he proves privy to knowledge that only the late royal could possess.
In his recent column for Stellar Magazine, Australian television presenter David Campbell wrote about his son, 4-year-old Billy Campbell's bizarre knowledge about the life of the late Princess Diana which started when he was still a toddler, reported The Sun.
Campbell wrote that while many children develop a fascination for certain trends or people, his son, born 18 years after Princess Diana's fatal accident, was different. He would refer to himself as a princess and Prince William and Harry as his boys.
According to the presenter, Billy first saw an image of Princess Diana on a card when he was just two years old. What surprised the rest of the family was when he casually mentioned that the photo was from a time he was a princess.
When he sees photos of Princess Diana's children William and Harry, Billy also refers to them as his boys. What proves even more bizarre is the way Billy knew things about Diana's childhood, which was rarely covered by the media. Campbell said that it was impossible for Billy to learn about this information on his own since they came even before he was born.
David said that Billy would mention Diana's brother John, a sibling who died only hours after his birth. John could have been a year older than Princess Diana had he survived.
The final piece of evidence that Billy was the reincarnated Princess Diana was when he accurately described the inside of Queen Elizabeth II's Scottish residence, Balmoral.
"To a Scottish friend of ours, he claimed when he was Princess Diana he used to go to a castle in that kilted wonderland. He described the castle as having 'unicorns on it' and was called Balmoral," David wrote.
On top of these incidents, the four-year-old also innocently referenced Princess Diana's accident as his mother showed him a picture of the royal's fatal car crash.
"There's me as a princess. Then one day the sirens came, and I wasn't a princess anymore, " Billy reportedly said. His father wrote about his feelings about his son's uncanny memories and wondered whether he would still remember these recollections years down the line. This also leads royal fans to wonder whether the little boy could be Diana's reincarnation.
