Riverdale Season 4 is now in the works, as production photos are now emerging online. The CW earlier revealed Episode 1 would honor Luke Perry, who used to play Fred Andrews' role, after his unexpected death in March.

The show will give the late actor the Memoriam he deserves with this tribute episode. Cast members posed together for a snap during a table read for the premiere episode, honoring the late actor, per The Blast.

Mädchen Amick, who plays as Alice Cooper, shared the snap and wrote a caption honoring Perry. "There was nothing but love, memories, and mourning for our beloved Luke as we honor him in our first episode back," she said.

As expected, Amick's post was flooded with comments and love for Perry, but the most special message she received was from Perry's children. His eldest and wrestler son, Jack Perry, left a single heart on her post, while his daughter, Sophie Perry, commented three yellow hearts.

The Riverdale Season 4 Episode 1 table read photo also showed Cole Sprouse's appearance, opposing theories that Jughead is dead. The previous season ended with a major cliffhanger with Jughead's disappearance after his friends stood around a fire covered with blood.

Since then, there were a series of speculations about Jughead's fate, making fans worried about his future in the show. However, the table read photo only confirmed Sprouse's character is still alive, although what happened to him in the Season 3 finale remains to be a big mystery.

Aside from the said snap, there was also a new image from the new season production, via Netflix is Life. Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa shared a behind-the-scenes look of Riverdale Season 4 Episode 1. Here, Archie (KJ Apa) is on a balcony looking down over a lit-up backyard, where Betty (Lili Reinhart), Jughead, Veronica (Camila Mendes), Reggie (Charles Melton), Kevin (Casey Cott), Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch), and Toni (Vanessa Morgan), among others, are having fun.

Although the context of this scene remains unknown, it is a great feeling to see them all together in one snap. From the looks of it, this sequence wraps up Episode 1, and they will be moving to film a new one. Riverdale Season 4 Episode 1, "In Memoriam," will be out on Wednesday, Oct. 9, on The CW.
