A month has already passed, and the pilot run for Ambitions is almost at its end. With only two episodes left for the season, the show seemingly appears to have a pretty wide critical reception from its fans.
When the pilot episode aired on June 18, on Oprah Winfrey Network, the new drama series on the platform immediately obtained its main audience. And with a strong average of 1.18 million viewers, it seems that the show is about to have firm and stable viewers.
However, the case became different after airing a few episodes. And as of the time being, the most recent episode garnered only half of its original viewers. Having only about 600,000 viewers for the Killing Me Softly episode is not a very great sign for the show. This is why many of its following are worried if there will be a new season for the show.
Even so, many perceive that the renewal status of Ambitions is still too early to tell. So, it might take time to uncover the details of a new season. But it is pretty worth noting that the pilot runs only consist a total of seven episodes. Accordingly, it can be a little bit bothering for some fans.
The season finale of Ambitions is set to air on July 30 with its seventh episode titled, Poison and Wine. And based on the path that the show is taking, it somehow hints that things might not turn great for all of the characters in terms of the course. There are speculations that someone might die at the end of the season. But since the plot is too complex than any average television series, it is quite difficult to theorize.
The first episode showed a very steamy, exciting, and shocking turnout of events. With its “unconventional” and “progressive” acts, it naturally picked the interest of many. As per TV Line, Ambitions is not afraid to go “from zero” to “completely insane” line in just one blink. And that is one of the many reasons why the show still attracts a lot more audience today.
Also, its main premises center on current events that are quite similar to what is occurring in society nowadays as it features a lot of schemes in terms of politics, positions, and relationships that are really in parallel with today’s society.
Ambitions Season 1 continues to air its sixth episode titled, What About Your Friends, on July 23, on Oprah Winfrey Network.
