With only three episodes left, Swamp Thing is about to come to an end. Things will surely get pretty intense to pave the way to the season finale. So in the next episode, something unbelievable is about to happen.

"After a harrowing journey of survival through the swamp, Avery (Will Patton) comes face to face with Swamp Thing (Derek Mears), who rescues the injured man," Swamp Thing Episode 8 official synopsis read. "After recovering, Avery vows to return with Woodrue to help find a cure, but they may not be able to be trusted."

Elsewhere, Nathan (Michael Beach) and the Conclave will confront Abby (Crystal Reed) at the CDC in Atlanta in "Long Walk Home." As she realizes Swamp Thing is in danger, she will return to Marais, but it will be too late. Matt (Henderson Wade) will also learn a secret about Avery.

It looks like the villain will have its hero in Swamp Thing Episode 8. Swamp Thing will be saving Avery. Will he be his hero, although he is also looking for a miracle cure for the virus he started?

According to Culturess, fans are about to see a standoff in the new episode with this unexpected twist, as Swamp Thing will do everything to nurture the villain of Marais back to health. To recall, Maria (Virginia Madsen) and Lucilia (Jennifer Beals) tried their best to bring down Avery, but to no avail.

This scene seems to be directly adapted from the comic book, where Avery and Woodrue captured Swamp Thing. However, things will never work on their favor. "Long Walk Home" is expected to feature more comic-accurate sequences.
