Earlier this week, YouGov has finally released its annual World's Most Admired list for 2019. In it, Taylor Swift places at the tenth spot. And this makes her the most admired woman in the music industry.
Amid all the dramas and allegations that she has been facing recently, it seemingly appears that Taylor is receiving enough support and love from her fans. And becoming one of the world's most admired people this year is just one of the basis.
The popular list is an annual study conducted by YouGov. For this year, it has been revealed that they "expanded" the study to cover a total of 42,000 individuals in over 41 countries.
Another singer who made it to the list is Madonna. And as it appears, she is placed at the eleventh position just next to Taylor Swift.
The likes of Michelle Obama, Melania Trump, and Peng Liyuan, who are all associated in politics as they are all the life-partners of politicians, also made it to the top 20 list. But among them all, the former First Lady of the United States is listed as the world's most admired woman in 2019.
The recently released YouGov list also featured the likes of Ellen DeGeneres, Emma Watson, Priyanka Chopra, Angelina Jolie, and Oprah Winfrey. And as for the men's category, today's most admired man is still Bill Gates followed by the former US president, Barack Obama, Jackie Chan, Xi Jinping, and Jack Ma.
With these key figures at hand, it is quite overwhelming for some fans of Taylor Swift to learn that she belongs with them. And although this isn't her first time to be included on the list, the majority of the fandom still takes it as another achievement for the pop singer.
However, YouGov has also conducted the same study for the US audience alone. And based on the results, Taylor did not make the cut.
While this specific list has caused a commotion among the fandom since many critics have stated that the Americans do not admire her, a lot of people have pointed out that the list did not include any musician. So, even if she did not make it through the list, it is pretty acceptable.
Nevertheless, her fans are still rejoicing for her recent achievement. And even though she is currently facing a lot of challenges, especially the recent issues and feuds that revolved around her and Scooter Braun, many critics claim that Taylor Swift is still "winning" in terms of her career.
Not to mention, people are also rejoicing and praising her association with the upcoming musical film, Cats, as she is to play the role of Bombalurina.
Cats, directed by Tom Hooper, is set to premiere on December 20 of this year.
