Most of the titles developed by Rockstar Games are the favorite subject of speculations and rumors. This includes the much-awaited and heavily rumored "GTA 6." But a new rumor surfaced online today claiming that the game developer is currently busy working on "Red Dead Redemption Remake" and to make it more interesting, the title is expected to come out from the first quarter of 2020 to 2021.

On Reddit, user throwaway1113454 shared that Rockstar games are currently working on the remake of the popular title "Red Dead Redemption." According to the Reddit user, the upcoming title is not just a remaster but a total remake. Additionally, "Red Dead Redemption Remake" will have a much larger map compared to its base game.

Aside from these, the Reddit user also claims that "Red Dead Redemption Remake" will be released on the next generation gaming consoles as well as on the current generation gaming consoles from Sony and Microsoft. In regards to the game's PC release, the Reddit user reveals that it is still undecided. Interestingly, Rob Wiethoff will still be the voice actor of the title's main protagonist, John Marston and he was allegedly brought back to start recording new voice lines.

As for the release window of "Red Dead Redemption Remake," it will reportedly be between 2020 and 2021. The release was initially planned to go along with the 10th anniversary of the game's first release. However, due to alleged issues with the development, a delayed-release window is more sensible. The rumor should be taken with a pinch of salt given the credibility of the source, claiming that it came from someone inside Rockstar Games.

This is not, however, the first time that we heard about claims of "Red Dead Redemption Remake." In the past, there were reports of a glitch found in "Red Dead Redemption 2" where the voice of the main protagonist of the game was replaced by the voice of the second protagonist of the first "Red Dead Redemption" game. While this particular rumor is difficult to determine in terms of validity, the idea of "Red Dead Redemption Remake" is not at all impossible.

Take-Two, Rockstar Games' parent company has said before that the game developer is now working on the frequency of the games' releases. Many analysts believe that Rockstar Games will release a title in 2019 and another title in 2020. Considering that a new title or a sequel made by Rockstar Games will take much longer time to develop, a smaller project such as a remake will make sense.

But, until Rockstar Games or Take-Two officially confirms that there is indeed a "Red Dead Redemption Remake" coming, the reports surrounding it will remain as rumors and speculations.
