Selena Gomez has recently turned 27 years old, and while she has remained single since her breakup with Justin Bieber, the pop superstar has reportedly expressed that she's ready to fall in love again. She was recently spotted on a trip to Italy with a young man named Andrea Iervolino.
According to Hollywood Life, Gomez and Canadian-Italian businessman Iervolino were seen happily spending a holiday with common friends Raquelle Stevens, Ashley Cook, and Caroline Franklin. However, a source close to the star said that there's nothing romantic going on between Gomez and Iervolino.
"They have worked together in the past and really bonded over the time they've spent together while filming," the source said. "However, friends definitely wouldn't mind seeing her date someone like Andrea because he's really sweet, he's handsome, smart, successful, in his early 30s, etc."
Another source said that the Italian hunk is not exactly the pop princess' type and she's not getting any romantic vibes from him. Their relationship is based on real friendship, which is why she loves to hang around and feels safe around him.
Gomez's grandmother also joined them during the trip so this holiday was really about the singer spending time with people that bring positivity in her life. Her girlfriends are part of her inner circle, and she has been friends with Iervolino for years.
Meanwhile, Elle reported that Gomez has been doing great despite her non-existent love life. She has also been making healthy changes to her lifestyle to avoid flaring up the symptoms of her lupus.
At some point, however, Gomez could be open to dating again. For now, her focus is on herself, her family and friends, and her career. She has been writing new songs that she plans to release in 2020. Gomez's goal is to put herself in a better headspace, and she's been making a lot of strides in this regard now that she's 27.
In the spring of 2018, Gomez and Bieber decided to end their relationship for good after several years of dating on and off. Bieber has quickly moved on by getting married while Gomez decided to go low-key and find some inner peace and healing.
