HBO promises to help all the actors who geo nominated at the upcoming Emmy Award - even the ones who have submitted themselves. One of the network's leading shows, Game of Thrones, has raked in 32 nods despite the controversy the final season has faced.

Game of Thrones once again made history by having 32 nominations from Emmy Award. With a creative and innovative crew and an all-star cast, it is no surprise the show managed to be selected.

However, HBO didn't submit Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy), Carice van Houten (Melisandre), and Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) for nomination. So, they self-nominated themselves for the performance they made. The networks usually decided whose talent to support during award seasons but promised to help these three stars.

"Thrones is unique because it has 20-something series regulars," HBO exec Casey Bloys said at the Television Critics Association summer press tour earlier this week, via Vanity Fair. Given the show has a stellar cast and has a lot of people in the same category, it can split the voters' support that may end up canceling each other out. Hence, the network has to be strategic on who to support for the nomination or the award.

Bloys vowed to dedicate all its resources to help all its actors' campaign to win. HBO once again dominated the Emmy nominations after Netflix conquered the spots last year.

HBO has a total of 137 nominations this year, brought mostly by Game of Thrones Season 8. Aside from GoT, Barry also received 17 nominations, while Chernobyl has 19, per The Verge.

Game of Thrones only proved how massive its fame is by having over 45 million viewers watching its last few episodes. So, it is only logical for the Emmy voting body to honor the series that changed the television culture.

Despite the complaints, petitions, and negative reviews, it can't be denied how huge, powerful, and overwhelming it has become. Unfortunately, after eight seasons, the show has to come to an end, and the Emmy Award will prove how people love or hate the series finale.

Allen, Van Houten, and Christie are nominated for Supporting Actor in a Drama, Best Guest Actress in a Drama, and Best Supporting Actress in a Drama, respectively. Other Game of Thrones stars, like Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Kit Harington, and Emilia Clarke are also nominated.
