An audio documentary reported that Princess Diana told her sisters that she regretted that she married Charles. Diana became the Princess of Wales when she married Charles in 1981. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1996 after they separated. The future king had two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, with the Princess of Wales. Diana was heard in a recording from "Diana: In Her Own Words" describing her big day as the worst day of her life.
In the recording, the princess told her sisters that she was not sure if she'll survive her troubles. The two dated briefly because Charles rushed her to get married because he was under pressure of starting his own family.
According to rumors, Charles told biographer Robert Jobson that he desperately wanted to get out of the wedding in 1981, when during the engagement he discovered just how awful the prospects were having had no chance whatsoever to get to know Diana beforehand. The author wrote that she hated the countryside, hated his family's passion for horses and dogs, hated the rain that poured down remorselessly, and she felt that her husband was avoiding intimate contact.
According to reports, the Prince left the Princess under the care of Michael Colborne. The report claimed that Colbornde sat with Diana while she cried. He stayed for six solid hours while the Princess paced around the room, kicked the furniture, ranted about everyone and everything to do with the place she hated so much, and then fell into brooding silence before starting all over again.
