Ariana Grande will be making a comeback to the small screen for the next season of Jim Carrey's critically acclaimed comedy-drama series Kidding.
The Thank You, Next singer shot her appearance for the show in between her back to back schedules for her Sweetener World Tour and shared that working with Jim Carrey was the most special experience in her life, reported E! News.
Jim Carrey must have set the bar pretty high because Ariana Grande has accomplished a lot of amazing things in her life for her young age. The pop star gushed over her experience on set through her Instagram post, showing her receiving a hug from the iconic comedian.
It turns out Ariana has been a long time fan of Jim Carrey and has been following his career during his early days on TV. She said that meeting Carrey in person was a dream come true for her.
"I've been staring at my screen, and no words do this moment justice. thankful for the most special experience of my life. nothing is crazier than getting to work with and spend time with someone whom you've idolized and adored since before you could speak. actually, what's even crazier is discovering that person to be more special and warm and generous in person than you ever could've imagined," she posted.
Ariana further shared her excitement over her small role in Kidding, whose maiden season received two nominations from the Golden Globes. Jim Carrey received a nod for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Television Series while the show earned its stripes by its nomination for the Best Musical or Comedy. The show also picked up a nod from the Golden Reel Awards for one of its episodes.
It seems that Ariana Grande also did a good job on her role because show creator Dave Holstein took to social media to share a much-deserved shoutout. Dave said that Ari crushed it and her episode was going to be one of the season's best.
Kidding is not the first time for Ariana Grande to appear on TV since she started her career as a Nickelodeon star, appearing as Cat in the network's Victorious teen series. Ari also reprised her role in a spinoff series with the iCarly's Jennette McCurdy in one season of Sam and Cat. The show only lasted for one full season and was canceled due to reported conflict between the lead stars, reported NY Daily News reported.
