General Motors made headways when it announced that it is updating one of its storied off-road pickup trucks, the 2019 GMC Sierra and its spiritual twin, the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado. Despite the fact that the two new trucks' engine only has a handful of upgrades, GM said that the build is completely new and will feature a much bigger build, new styling, and will shed a lot more weight compared to their predecessors.

Aside from the mentioned upgrades, there is still a number of optional upgrades including performance air intake, 20-inch wheels with uprated tires, and cat-back exhaust. In terms of price, the base AT4 model costs $53,200 while a fully upgraded trim will reach as much as $65,475.
There are also a number of Sierra-only exclusive features like the six-position tailgate dubbed MultiPro. The tailgate has a number of stages, one of which allows the user to carry objects that are way longer than the truck's bed.
In terms of performance, the 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 is no push-over. At the heart of the Sierra AT4 is a 6.2-liter V8 engine which can churn out 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet worth of torque delivered through a 10-speed transmission. This massive engine, with its massive power output, has its own downside, specifically when it comes to fuel consumption. The truck has an EPG rating of 16miles-city, 20miles-highway, and 17miles-combined.
Many truck enthusiasts and analyst have pointed out the strengths of the 2019 GMC Sierra AT4. It is an extremely attractive option for a number of reasons. Regardless of its shortcomings, the 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 does pose as a great off-road truck.
