Everything is now prepared for Grown-ish Season 3, and it looks like there is a new start waiting for Aaron (Trevor Jackson) and Zoey (Yara Shahidi). The previous season finale brought back Zoey where she was this time last year, although there was a little progress made.
Season 2 ended with Zoey telling Luca (Luka Sabbat) she accepted Joey Bada$$'s job offer. Things went well at first, but something changed eventually. Everything was cool until Luca got angry with the situation, per TVLine.
He called Zoey a "double-talking snake." He was so angry that he almost left her apartment without his pants. Would things get well between the two in Grown-ish Season 3?
After believing they were already broken up, Luca surprisingly attended Zoey's first major work event. They were both excited to see each other. They even held hands while strolling the room. Everything seemed to be fine again until Luca told Zoey she was only hired because of her looks.
Bursting with anger, Zoey told Luca he only supported her on his terms, adding he was only good for a pep talk. Every time Zoey succeeded, she felt like Luca would try to tear her down. From here, the two officially broke up.
By the looks of it, Zoey would have a new love in Grown-ish Season 3. After Aaron brought her to the airport, she took a minute to appreciate his kindness.
"You're always here without me having to ask," she said. After exchanging flirty ways, they ended up kissing each other. She then hopped onto Joey's private plane to go to Europe. Luca tried to stop her, but he was too late.
Freeform already renewed the show for Season 3 ahead of Season 2's ending. However, according to Bustle, the network has yet to reveal when Grown-ish Season 3 will be out.
The announcement was made at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in February. As expected, fans celebrate the news.
The new season's production has already started on July 8. Zoey and the rest of the gang would also have a new friend or foe with the coming of the Star actress Ryan Destiny.
The 24-year-old star will play the role of Jillian, "a transfer student from an HBCU." She comes to Cal U to study filmmaking. Grown-ish Season 3 is expected to be out in early 2020 on Freeform after its two previous seasons were released in the same month of January in 2018 and 2019.
