BLACKPINK's Jennie is sure to set another trend after she recently debuted her new bangs on Instagram. In a series of breathtaking photos, the fashion queen celebrated her 20 millionth follower on the social media platform.
According to a report by All Kpop, BLACKPINK's Jennie treated her fans to the images as she thanked her 20 million followers with a short but heartfelt statement: "20M thank you world."
Jennie is the second BLACKPINK member to reach the 20 million followers mark on Instagram. She follows Thai rapper Lisa Manoban who now has 23.5 million followers on the platform. Rose, who uses the handle roses_are_rosie is on track to reach the milestone with 18.1 million followers, while Jisoo also has 17.1 million fans following her on Instagram.
BLACKPINK's official Instagram that is handled by YG Entertainment also has 20.2 million followers who eagerly await announcements and activities about Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rose.
It's a successful milestone, especially after BLACKPINK trended worldwide with the hashtag #ThreeYearsWithBLACKPINK as fans from different countries celebrated the third debut anniversary of BLACKPINK's first album Square One released on August 8, 2017. The mini album contained the tracks Whistle and Boombayah.
As the girls move on from the celebration to focus on their new project, it is highly speculated that BLACKPINK will be collaborating with pop superstar Ariana Grande next after her producer for Thank You, Next and 7 Rings posted a photo in a studio with Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rose.
DJ Snake, who is responsible for the hits Turn Down for What and Taki Taki has earlier confirmed that he is set to work with BLACKPINK on new music. In a recent update, he cited a conflict in their schedules as a reason for the delay.
Meanwhile, fans are also speculating that Rose could be the next BLACKPINK member to release her solo single after the success of Jennie's Solo. Koreaboo recently reported a development on Rose's Instagram to fuel rumors that the talented vocalist could be working on her own single next.
Fans reportedly noticed that link on Rose's Instagram bio that was previously connected to BLACKPINK's Kill This Love MV has now been replaced by her cover of Halsey's Eyes Closed. The fact that YG Entertainment previously announced plans that Rose will have a solo comeback soon holds a lot of promise that the agency will be making an announcement in the near future.
Jisoo and Jennie have both maintained the link to Kill This Love MV on their bios which now has 525 million views on youtube.
