Balmoral is reportedly the "most home" for Queen Elizabeth, and since she's there for her annual summer break, the monarch will enjoy her time away from the chaos of Westminster. Hosting is said to be the most favorite part of Her Majesty, as she reportedly loves having a family to stay at the estate throughout summer.
On Sunday, the monarch was spotted attending church with her son Prince Andrew and his daughter Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. The Duke of York's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, also went to the Scottish Castle over the weekend.
According to a royal expert, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor will likely visit Balmoral this year. Richard Fitzwilliams claims Queen Elizabeth can't wait to host the Sussexes, as the monarch has reportedly grown fond of her granddaughter-in-law.
The monarch also likes spending her time at Balmoral while walking her dogs. Prince Eugenie told ITV's Our Queen At Ninety that Her Majesty enjoys country walks, picnics, and lots of dogs while at the estate. Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana also spent their honeymoon at the Scottish Castle and were seen taking a stroll in the countryside around the estate.
Queen Elizabeth also finds peace at Balmoral, as the place is reportedly a haven for royal family members, especially when they want to stay away from the media and the public. The estate is reportedly one of the rare places where royals can enjoy real privacy.
According to Princess Eugenie, Balmoral is the "most beautiful place on earth," and the monarch is the "most happy" there as she loves the Highlands. The Queen and her husband Prince Philip reportedly spend their time at the estate in a secluded guesthouse - the Craigowan Lodge.
The holiday home has seven bedrooms and just a mile from the castle, which allows the royal couple to have some time for themselves. Towards the end of the Balmoral trip, Queen Elizabeth usually attends the Braemar Royal Highland Gathering.
