After airing the first 20 episodes of God Friended Me, the show is receiving much more attention lately. With its impressive plot and actors, it is no wonder why CBS gave out its early renewal.
On January of this year, the network announced that the series would have a new season which will air this fall. So upon witnessing what happened with Miles' final encounter, the fans know that thing will be answered soon enough.
While little has been shared about the things that could and would happen on the second season, Monsters and Critics went on to share a few details about God Friended Me Season 2.
According to the publication, the new season will surely pick up where the pilot season has ended its course. And this is when Miles met a new character stating that she also friended God and currently, she has been receiving friend requests with the help and guidance of the anonymous account.
This, of course, stunned Miles as learning that there are others who are also in the same situation is quite surprising. And in considering how he is handling his concerns, it seems that everything is about to change.
Just before the first season has ended, Miles is adamant about knowing who owns the mysterious account. Words have been said, and actions have been poorly executed, which cost him his relationships.
But now that the bigger picture is becoming much clearer, this will surely add more concerns on his end. Even so, it is believed that whatever the case might be, "reconciliations" will happen no matter what the outcome will be.
Aside from the plausible focal points of the second season, it is also revealed that new faces and characters will join the upcoming course. As for who these persons might be, it has been yet uncovered.
Deadline, on the other hand, confirmed that some the recurring roles would be back for God Friended Me Season 2 as regulars. And one of them includes Erica Gimpel, who plays the role of Trisha and happens to be a possible love interest of Reverend Arthur Finer, Miles' father.
So far, these are the only things that have been shared and disclosed publicly about the second season of the new hit series. And things will surely make total sense once it arrives on the network.
God Friended Me Season 2 premieres on September 29, on CBS.
