But although there's no official word from the network, the majority of the viewers are positive the new installment will come out at some point. But since there are only a few information about it, fans can't help but wonder whether it will be renewed or canceled.
If ever Gold Rush season 10 will be given a green light, then the program will likely premiere this coming October. Based on the release schedule of the show, every season airs on that month in the last eight years - expect from season 1 which debuted in December 2010. It only makes sense the new installment follows the release pattern of the preceding seasons.
While there's no official renewal confirmation, there were already a few hints on what will happen in the upcoming season. Freddy Dodge and Rick Ness were previously spotted in Canada, though it wasn't clear what's their business and what they did there. But, most fans believe the two went to the region as they were scouting out a new mining territory.
Also, Parker Schnabel will reportedly go out on his own in the Gold Rush season 10, while Rick told Christo Doyle he's going to bring all but one of his Milwaukee pals for the tenth installment. In the previous season, Rick decided to step up and became a mine boss with a claim of his own. He has seen it all after working under Parker for six years.
Rick isn't an experienced gold miner, but he has leadership skills and knows how to manage people. Freddy is the most experienced gold miner and his skills, techniques, as well as tricks, have been exposed in the series. And as for Tony Beet, it seems like he's allowing cameras to be seen so viewers may finally see gold mining Viking-style in the next season.
Despite potential hints, however, some people still want an official renewal announcement from Discovery before making assumptions on what will happen next. For now, all of these remain pure speculations until an official announcement is made.
