After 16 season runs, Adam Levine has finally bid his goodbyes as he will no longer return for the new season of The Voice. The news about his exit broke the media a few months ago. But even so, his replacement is already called for.
In an interview with People's Magazine, Blake Shelton revealed that he would surely miss Adam Levine. But at the same time, he is happy to know that his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, will return to take the Maroon 5's spot as a judge.
It is kind of "bittersweet." And it feels quite different this time since it will be the first time that Adam Levine won't be around. Nevertheless, the returning judge, Gwen, will surely get the job done right.
The country singer, Blake Shelton, explained that Gwen Stefani just fits for the spot. Aside from her credentials and the fact that he'll get to spend more time with her, she was also a great judge in the previous seasons of The Voice. So, her return this year is not surprising at all.
Along with Gwen Stefani, My Life Would Suck Without You singer, Kelly Clarkson, will also return as a judge of The Voice Season 17. And just like Gwen, the upcoming season will be their fourth time to sit in the judge's seats.
As per Pop Culture, the shooting and filming are still ongoing. And it seems that all things are going well for the new set of judges which includes Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend. But even so, the notion that Adam Levine is not returning this time around is just new to everyone.
On Kelly Clarkson's part, she explained that Adam's exit is very understandable. While everyone will be truly sad about the matter, she mentioned that the Maroon 5 lead vocal still has his career. Not to mention, he has kids to take good care of.
Also, it is worth mentioning that tours are still ongoing for the singer. So, it will be very difficult for him to juggle around his schedule if he will still pursue The Voice Season 17. And these are probably the main reasons why Adam Levine left the show.
In the end, Levine may no longer return as a judge for the new season. But this does not mean that he will no longer return for good. Therefore, there is still a chance that he will come back soon.
The Voice Season 17 premieres on September 23, on NBC.
