After dropping 11 new episodes for the third installment, Just Add Magic might no longer return for a new season. With the show's apparent overall plot conclusion on the Just Add Goodbye episode, it only makes sense as to why the show might never come back at all.
When the show first premiered on Amazon back in 2015, it easily caught its audience for its magical, witty, and entertaining setting. And while the pilot run only continued a year after, fans of the show have remained positive and happy that Just Add Magic became an official material on the platform.
The first season performed well which makes it not surprising why Amazon renewed the show for a new season. And aside from the renewal, the second season continued its course with added episodes summing up to 26, which confused the fans.
As per reports, many viewers thought that the second half of the second season would serve as the third season run of the show. But as it shows, the sophomore run had two parts with 13 episodes each. So, the most current season today is not the fourth but apparently, the third.
For three seasons, fans and viewers have enjoyed the show. Not to mention, Just Add Magic caters to an audience of all ages. This is why families with young kinds are some of the most apparent viewers of the series.
Unfortunately, the magic has finally come off. This is a reference to the final episode of the show titled, Just Add Goodbye. From the title itself, it is already a tell that the series is about to conclude the overall plot. And upon watching the episode, it only justifies that a new season might no longer happen in the future.
In the episode, Kelly, Darbie, and Hannah made the "ultimate" sacrifice allowing them to finally say their final piece to the cookbook. And this means that without the cookbook, there will no longer be magic. Hence, it has become the perfect goodbye and conclusion.
Also, series star, Aubrey Miller, seemingly hinted that this episode already served as the final goodbye for the show.
Even so, it is still worth noting that Amazon has yet to confirm if the show will no longer return. And because of this, many are still hoping that Just Add Magic will return for a new season.
Whatever the case though, all seasons and episodes of Just Add Magic will still be available for streaming on Amazon's platform.
