Two months have passed since Jamestown Season 3 has wrapped everything up. With a total of eight episodes for the latest installment, the show was able to conclude everything from the beginning. And despite the fans' wishes to continue the show, it has been confirmed previously that the third season is the last installment of the show.
Ever since the show's return on Sky One, this has been already the informed deal. But as it happened, fans cannot take it, especially with the way the show ended last June. But even if months have already passed, nothing has changed and Jamestown Season 3 remains to be the finality of the series.
According to reports, while the production is quite satisfied with how it went at the end of the day, the fans continued to initiate and execute campaigns for the show's return. Some of these petitions are still ongoing.
Unfortunately, it seems that these movements will not be enough. And even if petitions would further increase in the coming months, it appears that it is already a done deal between Jamestown and Sky One.
Per Radio Times, the show has concluded its course on the final moments of the third season. Not to mention, most of the reports today calls the eighth episode of Season 3 as the show's "last-ever" installment.
In it, the fans have witnessed Mercy and Pepper's wedding. Although this would have been a nice way to end the storylines, the wedding was just the spark needed to continue the show's true ending. And based on what happened, the Opechancanough war plans began just right after the wedding.
The chaos that surfaced the town is deemed to change the whole dynamic forever. But thanks to Chacrow's tips, it caused for the Sharrows to flee from the huge disorder. Even so, the fact that the settlers were killed on the riverside remains the same. And with this kind of final moments, it did not entirely satisfy the fans' cravings for a pleasing and fulfilling ending.
While the fans play a key role in the success of Jamestown, Sky One has put an end to all of the speculations. And as reiterated by HITC, the series will not push through with a new season. Hence, the fans will need to make peace with the fact that Jamestown Season 3 was already the final wrap.
