In less than four weeks now, the reboot of Magnum P.I. will finally return on CBS. After its satisfying first finale last April, the production immediately went to prepare for the new season. And just last month, the second season production has officially begun.
Filming and shooting of episodes were also initiated as per reports. But what made the whole event so much more interesting was when they had a traditional Hawaiian blessing to "honor" the location's culture.
As per TV Series Finale, the second season of Magnum P.I. began its production in Honolulu, Hawaii. And before the official setup of the production, everyone on set attended a traditional blessing ceremony.
Kahu Kordell Kekoa "officiated" the whole ceremony. And the event was mainly comprised of the royal maile leis, the welcoming chant or also known as the Oli Aloha, and the closing prayer or the Pule Ho'oku'u.
It has also been revealed that the whole point of the ceremony was to honor the culture. Not to mention that it all "symbolized" how the series, along with its crews and viewers, and the island has created a "gift."
Once the ceremony has ended, the whole set went on to start the production and shooting. And it seems that it is still ongoing up to date considering how little is the time that they have for the show's return.
But while the show's preparations are about to end due to the near premiere of Magnum P.I. Season 2, there is not much information has been disclosed to the public and the media. Even the cast member details and other essential information about the new season are not being revealed.
The presence of teasers is also in shortage today. So, this leaves the fans and critics with nothing but speculations and theories about the new season.
Nevertheless, it is very likely that Magnum P.I. Season 2 will pick up where it last left off. The fans have witnessed how Hannah died in the last few moments of the pilot season.
Her death has spiraled a lot of things, including Katsumoto's learning of the truth behind Magnum's current movements. Of course, this made him very angry, considering that Magnum lied to him.
Also, the finale of the previous season showed Magnum's proposal to Higgins. Although there was no answer yet, the second season will reveal Higgin's final decision about joining Magnum's crew.
