The headlines recently have been swamped by various S.W.A.T. Season 3 updates. And based on reports, the new season is looking great ahead its actual premiere day.
While the reports do not contain huge and surprising details or information about the new season, it makes a lot of fans so much more excited. A lot of theories and speculations were already made about the show's new course.
Five weeks from now, the new season will finally arrive on CBS. And according to Cartermatt, the first episode has been already revealed to the public.
Although the reports only provided the official synopsis for the first installment, this already gave the fans enough information about S.W.A.T. Season 3's initial plot. And it seems that this is what the fandom currently needs to tackle further what could happen in the new season.
Episode 1 titled, Fire In The Sky, is hinted to feature Lieutenant Piper Lynch, played by Amy Farrington, who is new to the show. Aside from her arrival, Hondo's father, who is played by Obba Babatundé, is revealed to return in the storyline.
There is not enough information regarding the characters' status on the show. But since the synopsis pretty much dictates that they will be playing much bigger roles for the new season, then it is highly likely that these people are about to stay. Not to mention, many fans have already drawn conclusions that these characters will essentially affect the overall dynamic of S.W.A.T. Season 3.
As per Country Living, the main cast members of the series will reprise their roles for the upcoming season. But as for the new ones who will be joining the crew, it is yet to be revealed. Even so, it is not impossible that new faces, aside from Amy Farrington's Piper Lynch, will emerge as the show progresses.
The number of episodes is not also disclosed to the public. Nevertheless, the first two seasons have followed a pretty similar format. As it happens, the pilot season housed a total of 22 episodes while the second consisted of 23. Hence, the third installment might have either of the two.
As for the official teasers and trailers, CBS has yet to release these kinds of materials. But thanks to the cast members of the series, especially its main star, Shemar Moore, who plays the role of Hondo, they tend to give updates, hints, and personal teasers through their social media accounts.
All in all, these are the contents of most reports today about the show. And certainly, more will arrive in the next few weeks as S.W.A.T. Season 3 is set to premiere on October 2, on CBS.
