Imposters seasons 1 and 2 are currently available to watch on Netflix, attracting new viewers on the streaming platform. However, there are a lot of questions about the future of the dark comedy series, particularly if Imposters season 3 is happening.
The series, which stars Inbar Lavi as Maddie, has become one of the most binged-watch shows as of spring on Netflix, as per Decider. But despite that, there's still no news about its future, and whether or not the streaming giant will pick up Imposters season 3.
But, is Netflix open to continuing the series? According to Techjunkie, even though the seasons 1 and 2 are performing well on the platform, the likelihood of the show being picked up by the company is relatively small. Bravo has canceled the show for years now, yet nothing happened.
If Netflix wanted to do Imposters season 3, then the streaming platform should've renewed it faster - rather than waiting for so long following its cancellation. While there have been previous talks about the idea of bringing the series to another network or platform, there's been no news about a possible deal since then.
Still, fans of the series launched a petition to save the show, asking for 35,000 signatures. As of this writing, the more than 27,000 signed the petition so that Netflix will continue doing Imposters season 3. The petition also notes: "We want to see how the story unfolds. The characters are relatable and take viewers on this journey with them."
However, other factors should be explored if ever the streaming platform will pick up the third installment. For instance, it might be hard to bring back the cast members altogether as some of them had already signed to other projects.
Lead actress Lavi is on Netflix's Lucifer season 5, wherein the production reportedly began in July and will possibly come out in spring 2020. Co-creator Paul Adelstein also joins NBC's Chicago P.D. season 7, replacing Jon Seda who decided to leave the series.
Furthermore, Rob Heaps (plays Ezra Bloom) worked on a new TV show Dare Me, and it recently wrapped up filming Canada and is set to premiere in 2020 on USA Network. Stephen Bishop (Patrick) is filming several movies, like Chagrin and The Fastest Man Alive, Parker Young (Richard) is part of CBS' Super Simple Love Story.
Imposters debuted on Bravo channel on February 7, 2017, which follows con artist Maddie who gets involves in relationships with men and women and leaves them - robbing everything, including their hearts.
