Amazon's Just Add Magic wrapped up its third season in February 2019, but many are still wondering if there will be another installment. But, a series star revealed the status of Just Add Magic season 4, hinting the story has come to an end.
In February 2019, Aubrey Miller answered the question of a fan on Twitter, asking if the show is "over forever." The actress replied they've completed filming Just Add Magic, adding that viewers can go back and watch all the seasons.
Miller's response implies there will be no Just Add Magic season 4, and the family series has already ended after its three seasons. She also replied to a grandparent, confirming that the third season would be the last for the family series. It's also apparent the series has concluded, considering the title of the season 3 finale episode is "Just Add Goodbye."
The series debuted on Amazon in 2015, which follows three friends Hannah Parker-Kent (Miller), Darbie O'Brien (Abby Donnelly), and Kelly Quinn (Olivia Sanabia). The trio discovered a cookbook written by the latter's grandmother, and they eventually found out the recipes on the book come with magical effects.
They couldn't understand how this happened since Kelly's grandmother only speaks once in a blue moon, and no one knows behind her strange silence. The third season ended with the three no longer tasked to protect the book, and since there are no more mysteries to solve, Just Add Magic season 4 will unlikely happen as no more stories will be explored.
Aside from Miller, Donnelly, and Sanabia, other cast members of the series include Ellen Karsten (as Gina Silvers), Amy Hill (Ida Perez), Dee Wallace (Rebecca), Andrew Burlinson (Scott Quinn), Catia Ojeda (Terri Quinn), and Judah Bellamy (Jake Williams).
Fans and viewers enjoyed the three seasons of the series, especially since it caters an audience of all ages. Also, most families with young kids are some of the most apparent viewers, which only shows that many adore the show. The family series boasts highs ratings from several leading websites, including Common Sense (4 out of 5) and IMDb (8.2 out of 10).
Meanwhile, many are confusing the third installment with Just Add Magic season 4. So to make the confusion clear, the second season was divided into two parts. Thus, many assumed the second part of season 2 is the third season. To make everything clear, the one that was released on Amazon in February 2019 was Just Add Magic season 3.
