Queen Elizabeth II is Britain's longest-monarch, and almost everyone around the world knows her as she's one of the famous public figures. However, a royal expert revealed Her Majesty's biggest fear is being overlooked.
Queen Elizabeth has been on the throne for 67 years now, and she has already traveled to over 125 countries and has done a lot of things throughout her reign. But despite the monarch's frequent appearances on the public, a royal expert claims Her Majesty fears that nobody would recognize her.
Over the past years, the Queen becomes known for her particular sense of style, wherein she wears bright colors that match from head to toe. However, her fashion choice is not just a personal preference, as royal biographer Robert Hardman said Her Majesty likes wearing vibrant colors so she wouldn't be overlooked whenever she's in huge crowds.
"Clearly she is the most famous woman in the world, I think that goes without question these days," the royal biographer explained.
Queen Elizabeth's daughter-in-law Sophie also talked about why the monarch chooses rainbow shades when she dresses. In the documentary, The Queen at 90, the Countess of Wessex revealed Her Majesty needs to stand out for people so that they would be able to say: "I saw the Queen."
Also, Vogue did a study regarding the Queen's style back in 2012, where it looked every outfit she wore over 12 months. The magazine has found that only two percent of the monarch's outfits were black, while one percent was beige.
Queen Elizabeth's assistant also said Her Majesty has a strong opinion when it comes to the clothes she wears. Speaking to the Telegraph, Angela Kelly shares that the monarch loves clothes and she is a "real expert" on fabrics.
She also added the Queen does not likely value Kelly's opinion as the monarch is the one in control and she always makes the final decision. And as per Buckingham Palace, the design team of Her Majesty tries to use both old and new fabrics when it comes to designing.
In a related reported, Queen Elizabeth reportedly revealed she would never wear color beige because nobody will know who she is. While the monarch uses neutral colors when she's off duty at Sandringham or Balmoral, Her Majesty reportedly requires a "smart dress code" during royal ceremonies, as well as other events.
Additionally, the outfits of Queen Elizabeth are reportedly tailored accordingly and take consideration which nation she's going to visit. For instance, the monarch has worn a yellow gold outfit during a royal tour in Australia since it is reportedly one of the national colors of the country.
