#StayStrongRose became a trending topic on Twitter after fans bewailed YG Entertainment's unfair treatment of BLACKPINK's Rose compared to other members Jennie, Lisa and Jisoo.
According to a report by All Kpop, the #StayStrongRose hashtag became a trending topic after the BLACKPINK member liked a post on Instagram that stated that everything happens for a reason and that better things may happen in the future.
BLINKs who stan Rose immediately saw this as a message from their idol and connected the post to the fact that Rose has been the only BLACKPINK member who has no scheduled solo activities this year. Fans bewailed the seemingly biased handling of the members' careers given the fact that Rose is an exceptional vocalist, as proven by her solo covers and live performances.
A fan shared her analysis on Instagram and comparing Rose's solo activities to that of Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo. Jisoo has debuted as an actress via the tVn series Arthdal Chronicles as Song Joong Ki's first love, featured in a Bazaar Magazine shoot and a Dazed CF. Jennie released her solo debut and has collaborated with fashion brands Chanel, Vogue, and Hera. She has likewise featured in a Dazed CF. Thai rapper Lisa is a Moonshot endorser and has featured in a Samsung, AIS and Celine CF. However, Rose's solo activities remain blank.
The post was liked by Rose's father Mason Park which fuelled the fans' rage even more, as it meant that Rose's dad was also aware of the unfair treatment that her daughter was getting from YG Entertainment.
BLINKs lamented the unfair treatment of the BLACKPINK members and said that YG should focus on Rose's talents as the main vocalist of the group.
Back in April, this year YG Entertainment has announced that after the success of Jennie's solo debut, Rose will be the next BLACKPINK member to have her solo debut. This announcement came after the strong fan responses to Rose's covers uploaded on streaming platforms, Koreaboo reported.
"I covered Halsey's Eyes Closed and posted it on YouTube, Instagram, and SoundCloud, and my fan's responses were hot. I would like to try and sing a song full of soul that can showcase my vocals," BLACKPINK's Rose said.
However, despite the confirmation by then YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk, the solo track has not yet materialized under the new management. BLACKPINK is currently gearing for their Private Stage performances on September 21 at Olympic Hall in Seoul.
