After more than a year of waiting, Lost In Space might just finally arrive in the next few months. The series obtained its second season green light last May 2018.
While the filming only began in September, it already concluded last March. But since the post-production, including the "CG works," takes a few more months to accomplish, the waiting game has been certainly extended.
But of course, it doesn't take a genius to notice that the post-production has already taken five months, which is already enough timeframe for the overall processes. Not to mention, the fall season is already approaching. So, Netflix might just release Lost In Space Season 2 come the -ber months.
According to Digital Spy, the most plausible date that the new season will arrive would be in the latter months of 2019 or early months of 2020. And whatever the case would be is just suitable since it has been highly hinted that Lost In Space Season 2 will be so much bigger and bolder this time.
When the series first arrived on the platform, its first ten-episode season has impressed a lot of avid series viewers. In only a short period of time, the platform's clients were able to binge-watch and finish the whole season quickly. And shortly after the release, people are already asking for more of the show.
With these points at hand, it is not actually surprising why Netflix renewed the series for a new season. It is also worth noting that Netflix has already released an update on its platform. And based on the new header of the show, it informs the viewers that the new season is already coming soon.
In terms of its plot, Lost In Space Season 2 will basically pick up where it ended last season. And this is actually when the Robinson's was "zapped" away from the unknown planet. This was the huge cliffhanger that the fans have been holding on to.
As for the course that the new season will be taking, there is not much information given or disclosed to the public. For all the fans know is that there will be two new characters.
Aside from the new faces that are believed to play huge roles, Lost In Space Season 2 might also continue to feature cameos of some cast members of the original 60s' movie. After Bill Mummy's appearance in the pilot season, the producers "loved" the idea of having some familiar faces in the next season.
