Three months have passed, and the fans are still hungover from the epic finale of Game of Thrones. While many people have reacted negatively to how the show concluded, some still saw the light in the end.

But whatever the case, the show has ended. And many people claim that they need a similar series material to fill the void that Game of Thrones has left.

Surprisingly, Amazon's new fantasy series, Carnival Row, has, somehow, filled the so-called "void" per fans and critics. Most people who have binge-watched the show were avid viewers of Game of Thrones and Lord of The Rings. And this kind of perception gives away the idea that the series is somewhat similar to the equated materials.

Carnival Row is a neo-noir fantasy series created for Amazon Prime Video. It is loosely based on a speculative screenplay titled, A Killing on Carnival Row, written by Travis Beacham.

The pilot season housed a total of eight episodes featuring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevigne, who both serve as the main characters of the series. It only premiered on August 30, on the platform. And within just a few hours, the fans who have finished the season are already asking for a new season.

Fortunately, Amazon has already commissioned the second season. As per Variety, Carnival Row Season 2 is already ordered long before the pilot season premiered on Amazon. And because of this, other interested viewers have become so much more intrigued with the series.

It is worth noting that the show has been only up on the platform for less than 24 hours. But even so, Carnival Row is already making the headlines, which gives the totality of the series a great premiere impression.

According to Screen Rant, the whole setting of the series takes place in a "Victorian-era style." It is called The Burgue where "fae" refugees flee from the war in their homeland.

These refugees came in contact with the human population. However, they are treated with "hatred" and "suspicion" due to the gruesome murders that are currently happening in the period.

Vignette, who is played by Cara Delevigne, is a faerie who helps and treats refugees fleeing from the aftermath of the war. As for Philo, played by Orlando Bloom, is a former soldier, who is now assuming the role of inspector.

The two fell in love during the war. But after what happened, they were separated. It is only when refugees started to flee that Philo met Vignette again in The Burgue.
