Gold Rush season 10 is arriving on Discovery Channel soon. New challenges are expected as miners are, currently, facing a major crisis. While original miner Todd Hoffman might still not be around when the new installment premieres, Rick Ness, Parker Schnabel, and Tony Beets are all returning this season alongside their crews searching for gold.
Discovery Channel revealed Gold Rush season 10 would premiere on Friday, October 11, at 9 PM ET/PT. The network's press release also teased fans on what to expect on the upcoming season. Ness, Schnabel, and Beets will put their lives and money on the line in pursuit of the American dream.
In Gold Rush season 10, the year starts with a major crisis in the Klondike, as the water permits failed to come through and the price of gold is spiking. This a new rush of prospectors to the area and miners gamble in hunting for gold on new grounds.
Ness decided to step up his game this season due to the trouble in Klondike, and he moved his entire operation above the historic mining town of Keno City. The area, reportedly, attracted miners over past years for its famed golden nuggets. For Ness, he could have a multimillion-dollar payday if ever he hits the right pocket, but one wrong move could threaten to bankrupt him.
Meanwhile, at the age of 25, Schnabel has already achieved his dream of owning his claim -- thanks to his hard work in the past years. The new claim in Gold Rush season 10 is reportedly massive. It is said to be more than twice of what Schnabel mined in the previous season, and it may take about three years to mine this one.
Tony Beets, on the other hand, has an early jump but his luck did not last long. The legendary miner was forced to shut down his Indian River operation, following the failure over the water permit. So, he looks to his three kids to save their family business from the financial ruin. His kids -- Mike, Kevin, and Monica, hunt for gold and new ground to mine. However, their family bond will be put to an ultimate test since the pressure rises to save Beets mining empire.
Gold Rush season 10 is, reportedly, different compared to the previous seasons since these three miners and their crew battle in the hope of finding millions in gold. The major crisis in the Klondike would probably make it difficult for them searching for gold, but these crews won't give up as soon as the gold fever strikes.
