The Dragon Prince Season 3 is already sealed. The highly-anticipated animated series is confirmed to return soon on Netflix.

Back in July, during the Comic-Con 2019, the cast of the series has teased a lot of interesting details about the new season. And as reiterated by Inverse, the upcoming installment will cover the last "book" of the trilogy saga titled, Sun.

This means that the series will have two more two-season sets in the future. And this equates to an overall seven-season series. But aside from the show's distant future, the publication also pointed out the upcoming season's key details in terms of the plot and storyline.

It has been pointed out that The Dragon Prince Season 3 (Book 3) will focus on how the dragon egg survived the apparent attack in the past. So certainly, there will be various flashbacks.

Also, it has been stressed out that Harrow is dead. And he is not coming back despite the fans' uproar about his demise. But since flashbacks will be very apparent, he will still be seen in the new season.

Voice-cast members Jack De Sena, and Paula Burrows, who voice Callum and Rayla, respectively, also revealed a few details about their characters in the coming season. And these hints are seemingly picking up the events that happened in the previous season.

Per De Sena, Callum will "explore" his "newfound" abilities. Not to mention, he will also get to be "in touch" with other forms and types of magic.

As for Rayla, a reversal of the human Rayla will be featured in the form of the Elf Callum. Plus, more important details about her history will be largely disclosed in The Dragon Prince Season 3.

When Season 2 ended its course, the fans have witnessed how the core characters "split up." Callum and Rayla continued with their venture to return the dragon, while Ezran chose to return to his home and take Harrow's place in the throne.

These ending plots became huge cliffhangers for the second season. But it has been revealed that the upcoming installment will simply continue where it last left off.

Upon continuation, the official synopsis also hinted that there would be new storylines to unfold making the third season a very epic installment to the show. And with these revelations at hand, it makes the fans so much more eager and excited to see the new season.

Unfortunately, no word has been shared yet about the series' release date on Netflix. But recent reports are looking at a fall premiere. So, the fans will just have to wait for a few more weeks to learn if The Dragon Prince Season 3 is aiming for a fall 2019 premiere. Until then, these details will have to do for the fans current enjoyment.
