WARNING: This article contains spoilers and predictions for Chicago Fire Season 8. Read at your own risk.
Just like the other One Chicago shows, Chicago Fire Season 7 ended with a huge and heart-stopping cliffhanger. With the on-fire factory that has a boiler that is about to explode, this leaves everyone on-site at a huge risk.
It is not depicted what happened afterward. For all the fans know, it will not end well for everyone, especially for the firefighters and paramedics inside the factory.
Quite obviously, the fans want nothing more but safety for everyone. But considering how worse the situation is, it just left the fans in deep "stress."
MEA World Wide has recently reported the current movements made by the show toward the next season. And as reiterated, series creator, Derek Haas, has given a huge hint of what might happen when Chicago Fire Season 8 arrives.
In his statements, the first episode title is revealed to be Sacred Ground. And as anyone would know, this phrase is often used for the "memorial" for fallen people like firefighters and policemen. Therefore, having to learn that this will be the focal point of the first episode is huge news for the fans.
With this at hand, many fans are now convinced that someone will not survive the fire. And the first episode of Chicago Fire Season 8 will likely feature the following events.
As per Cinema Blend, some of the recent details and updates of the new season, somehow, revealed the people who likely survived the "misfortune." And based on these statements, it looks like Casey and Brett will continue to move forward in the next installments.
The same is also emphasized for Stella and Severide's case. Derek Haas revealed with TV Line that two would continue to be "rocks" for each other. So, it also goes to show that their relationship will continue to move forward.
But even so, it is still stressed out that the premiere will be not the usual episodes that they used to air. As it happens, the series creator pointed out that the Sacred Ground episode will be "devastating" and "brutal." Hence, there is a huge chance that casualties will be largely featured in the premiere of Chicago Fire Season 8.
Whatever the case though, the production has promised the fans for one great big crossover among the One Chicago shows in the coming installments.
Like all the other One Chicago series, Chicago Fire Season 8 will premiere on September 25, on NBC.
