MONSTA X has released the first teaser images for their new English song Love U featuring French Montana and will.i.am. and their Monbebe fandom already could not wait.
The image takes on a retro scrapbook feel that combines cutout pictures of MONSTA X members with the song title Love U painted in the middle. The teaser image has a very hip hop feel, which makes sense given that they are collaborating with internationally renowned rappers like French Montana and will.i.am, All Kpop reported.
It seems that the retro theme is in line with other teasers that MONSTA X members are dropping on social media. The Kpop group has also released a series of Polaroids with the members' named underneath. Apart from the images, MONSTA X released a clip of Joohoney's vocals singing in English. Monbebes are already trying to guess what type of single the track will be as they have high expectations following Who Do You Love.
Love U, which will drop on Friday, will actually be MONSTA X's second collaboration with French Montana after their earlier hit Who Do You Love entered the charts not only in Korea but in various streaming platforms all around the world. It even received a nomination for MTV's Best Kpop category where the collaboration track earned MONSTA X in the list along with BTS, BLACKPINK, EXO, and TXT.
After being the first Kpop group to appear on the animated hit We Bear Bears, their guestings on Jimmy Kimmel Live and Good Morning America, MONSTA X will also be appearing live and in person in The Ellen Show where they get to interact with Ellen Degeneres and hopefully, participate in her insanely fun games that she prepares for her guests, Metro reported.
MONSTA X's guesting on September 25 will most likely feature a performance of their new track Love U. The group will also be the first Kpop group to appear in the iHeart Radio Music Festival before the end of the month, proving just how high the demand for this multi talented group is.
It can be recalled that MONSTA X recently concluded their We Are Here North American Tour in August where they performed for sold out crowds in major US concert venues. Based on the Billboard review, the group perfectly executed the intricacies of their aggressive set list. According to reviewer Caitlin Kelly, they have definitely come a long way since they debuted on an American stage in KCON LA four years ago.
