Little teasers about Lucifer Season 5 are emerging here and there. Although Netflix remains mum about the future of the last season, D.B. Woodside, who plays Amenadiel, drops major hints for the final installment. Rumors have it that Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) is likely to die. But, is there any truth about it?

In a Twitter Q&A, a fan asked Woodside about his thoughts for the new season's first script. "Why did they have to kill Maze off in the first 5 mins? Big mistake @jkning BIG. MISTAKE," the 50-year-old star responded.

Comments from different fan started to flow, saying they are hoping Woodside is only joking. To recall, in the previous season finale, Maze fell in love with Eve (Inbar Lavi) but left brokenhearted.

Lucifer (Tom Ellis) returned to Hell, but it remains to be seen if Maze went with him. If Maze stays on Earth, then, there's a big possibility she will go to Hell with Chloe (Lauren German) to bring him back in Lucifer Season 5.

Brandt, on the other hand, teased Maze would face a new villain come the new season. In a social media post, via Express, the 37-year-old star shared some behind-the-scenes photos of the show's filming. Here, she is seen in character, standing next to her stunt double.

She commends her stunt double, saying she has been helping Maze kick ass since Season 3. In another post, Brandt teased Maze would be involved in a major fight in Lucifer Season 5. When she asked the series writers about the final season, she revealed she would get a "one, big, epic fight" to show everyone what Maze is capable of doing.

This scene made Brandt prepare herself physically so that she would be ready for all the upcoming battles. The new season's filming is now underway, but fans are now all wondering what will happen in the finale.

Woodside revealed the show's ending is subject to change. So, fans should prepare for the worst. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Joe Henderson revealed they have a lot of exciting ways to bring Lucifer back. "One way, in particular, to do it that launches an awesome, awesome season five," he said.

He continued to say they spent some time "digging" into what they think Lucifer Season 5 could be. Henderson said the first scene is one of his favorite things that they have ever come up with. Netflix has yet to announce when the final season will be out, but it may be set for release in the summer of 2020.
