AMC already confirmed Into the Badlands season 4 will not happen, but some fans are still hoping they would see the series elsewhere. There are also speculations Netflix might pick up the show and will revive the series on its platform. But, will the streaming giant pick up the series?

AMC officially announced the cancelation of the series after three seasons; thus, confirming the unlikelihood of Into the Badlands season 4. Still, fans believe they could watch the show on other platforms, like Netflix.

The streaming giant is known for picking up canceled programs, especially if they have a cult following. However, the third season of Into the Badlands reportedly didn't achieve its target rating, and this is probably one of the reasons behind the show's cancelation.

Despite that, TV Season & Spoilers speculated Netflix will still pick up Into the Badlands season 4. The outlet noted the streaming giant might be interested with the series because of its unusual premises, especially since there's a lot of unexpected twists and turns.

As of this moment, there were no confirmed reports Into the Badlands season 4 will go on Netflix, or another platform or network. Meanwhile, Al Gough and Miles Millar have booked their next series, making the cancelation of the fourth installment is highly likely.

Deadline reported the series creators received a script commitment from FOX to develop a musical drama, titled Anthem. The new series is not similar to Into the Badlands, but fans of the latter might be familiar with the conflicts since it will also focus on resilience, race, religion, and politics.

Gough and Millar also pitched a spin-off series to Into the Badlands that would've been made after the third season. The story was reportedly incorporated in season 3 finale, when guns have been introduced in the series. However, the project didn't also proceed since AMC passed on the spin-off as well.

Into the Badlands is set in a post-apocalyptic world, which is 500 years after a war that left civilization in ruins. The majority of technology's elements survived -- like electricity and ground vehicles -- but the society now shuns guns. So, this leads to the reliance on crossbows and melee weaponry.

Some of the cast members include Daniel Wu as Sunny, Ella-Rae Smith as Nix, Lorraine Toussaint as Cressida, Babou Ceesay as Pilgrim, Nick Frost as Bajie, Emily Beecham as Minerva/The Widow, Orla Brady as Lydia, Aramis Knight as M.K., Ally Ioannides as Tilda, and Sherman Augustus as Nathaniel Moon.
