SM Entertainment is pulling all the stops for its super boy group SuperM, which is made up of some former members of SHINEE, EXO, NCT, and WayV. The agency has announced that SuperM will be launched at Capitol Records in Hollywood on October 5.

Based on a report by All Kpop, Super M will make a grand debut showcase entitled "Super M: Live" early next month. The new idol group will hold the show outside the historic music studio, which handled the careers of icons like The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Queen, and the Beach Boys.

Lucky fans of the new idol group will witness the first act of Kai (EXO), Taemin (SHINee), Mark (NCT), BaekHyun (EXO), Lucas (WayV), Ten (WayV), and TaeYong (NCT) as a group. It is expected that SuperM's showcase will feature songs from their self-titled first album, SuperM. For those who cannot attend the live event, the exhibition can be viewed via YouTube live stream on October 5, at 7 pm PST.

According to a report by Cosmopolitan, while SuperM is made up of members of popular boy groups, the new idol group will not be dissolved once members of SHINEE, EXO, NCT, and WayV complete their military enlistment.

SuperM will, actually, be a permanent group co-managed by SM Entertainment and Capitol Records to bring their music to a wider audience. This means that SuperM will be joining the likes of Katy Perry, Coldplay, Sam Smith and a host of other successful international artists under the American label.

Last Monday, SM Entertainment released the trailer for SuperM on YouTube, which has already been viewed by over 633,000 fans. The trailer featured members Taemin, Baekhyun, Kai, Taeyong, Mark, Lucas and Ten wearing edgy black and white outfits as they posed at a stadium. Fans, on the comments section, expressed approval over the members' stunning visuals and style and pledged to support their new music.

Prior to the launch of SuperM, members have already selected the leader of their new group. While fans originally thought that Taemin would pick up the title, given that he is the senior member of SuperM, the SHINEE maknae said that he wanted to pass on the responsibility to someone who took care of other members of the group, E! reported.

Taemin said he thought that Baekhyun had the qualities of a good leader and his fellow EXO member Kai, agreed with the assessment.

"Both in EXO and in SuperM, you have a lot of influence on the group atmosphere," Kai said about Baekhyun, who accepted the role after receiving a unanimous vote from his SuperM members.
