The first batch of Disenchantment Season 2 episodes are now released, and it revealed a lot of Easter eggs about The Simpsons and Futurama. As the animated series reportedly has 20 episodes, when will the remaining ones be out on Netflix?

According to CarterMatt, it may be a long waiting game before fans see the second half of the season. To recall, it took the show a year before it dropped the continuation episodes of Season 1.

The long waiting may prove how long it takes for an animated series to get done. However, it may also be Netflix's way to build on the hype and demand to gather more viewers.

Netflix ordered for 20-episode Disenchantment Season 2. The first 10 episodes can now be streamed on the site, but it may take another one good year before the second half comes out.

Meanwhile, in the first half of the episodes, creator Matt Groening included a lot of Easter eggs that honor The Simpson and Futurama. This tradition has started from Season 1. Aside from nods to the characters' looks, there are also hints that the two shows have a shared universe.

According to Digital Spy, the pieces of evidence presented in Episode 9, titled "The Electric Princess," hinted Disenchantment and Futurama are in the same universe. This happened when Bean followed an airship pilot, named Sky Gunderson, to Steamland.

The show's fans may recall the name Gunderson is Gil's last name from The Simpsons. Add to that that The Futurama Season 6 Episode 13, "The Futurama Holiday Spectacular," was sponsored by Gunderson's Unshelled Nuts; the connection is very evident.

It is also noticeable that Sky looks like the young version of Professor Farnsworth. They wear the same thick glasses, and he has the same red hear before the old one goes bald. His business, Gunderson Airships, is also located on Farnsworth Boulevard and he owns a model of the Planet Express ship that the professor designed.

Disenchantment Season 2 also showed the uncanny similarities of Sky and Farnsworth's personalities. Sky has the same collection of wires that Farnsworth has in his draw in the very first episode of Futurama.

Hence, more than the Easter eggs, fans suggest Sky and Farnsworth have a great connection to each other. Although it is also possible that the professor has meddled with time and made these links, it is more likely that he has an actual connection with Sky. Fans have to wait for the continuation of Disenchantment Season 2 to see if these two are only one, somehow related, or these are all mere coincidence.
