Arrow Season 8 is upon us, and The CW has dropped a video featuring the cast, an official poster, and teaser images of the premiere episode, titled "Starling City." There is no stopping the network from putting the show on the hype now that it is on its last and final season. With a crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths, looming, fans can expect a lot of twists and turns are about to happen.
Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen, and the rest of the cast are still working on the finishing touches of the show, but they took their time out to create their final video for the series. Instead of showing what will happen in the new season, it reveals their conversation about the things they've learned personally and professionally in eight years of doing the show.
The clip is already recorded earlier this year, at the recent San Diego Comic-Con 2019, but it was only released a few days ago. In the teaser, Amell can be seen, along with Katie Cassidy (Laurel Lance), David Ramsey (John Diggle), Rick Gonzalez (Rene Ramirez), and Juliana Harkavy (Dinah Drake) talking about their experiences on the show. Although all of them have worked on different gigs on television, doing this superhero television series is something different for them.
According to CarterMatt, the show has run for almost a decade and, for many of them, it is the longest series they have worked on. They have learned a lot about their characters and their selves over time. They also experience working on with the writers and exploring different opportunities.
Meanwhile, showrunner-executive producer Beth Schwartz revealed Arrow Season 8 is still underway, as there are still three episodes left on the production side. The CW also dropped its official key art, teasing all the feels with Olive Queen's final outing.
Aside from the poster, the official images of the season-opener, "Starling City," is also out, showing the biggest highlights of the season: the return of Oliver's mom, Moira Queen (Susanna Thompson). It also teases the comeback of Merlyn (Colin Donnell), the family mansion, and Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman).
Bleeding Cool reported the revelation of the said characters' return is a vital part of the show's final season. These people have been out of the Arrowverse, and the house itself has been destroyed for a long time. This only proves Arrow Season 8 will feature a different timeline and alternate universes.
Fans will also see the new costumes for Oliver's emerald archer, Laurel, and John. Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy) and Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez) will also make an appearance, although they may not be in costume. Arrow Season 8 is set to be out on Tuesday, Oct. 15, on The CW.
