Ziva has returned and NCIS Season 17 Episode 2 will continue to evolve her storyline.
A lot has happened during the premiere of the show. While Ziva's return is making the most of the plot of the new season, the cases for the NCIS crew continues to grow as well.
The synopsis of NCIS Season 17 Episode 2 reveals that a new case will emerge. No details have been shared yet, but it will pretty much limit the resources of the crew as Gibbs and Ziva also resolve the dangers in their lives.
According to Cartermatt, Ziva's meeting will have something to do about it. While fans are hoping for her to meet with Tony, she is revealed to finally meet Bishop.
In the previous installment, the two women have shared close ties with each other even without meeting personally. So, this first encounter between the two will be iconic. It's not something that the fans are hoping and expecting, but it remains as a progress to the storylines.
Cote de Pablo's return on NCIS has been long hinted in the previous seasons. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress shared a few details about Ziva in NCIS Season 17.
She will be appearing in four episodes, dominantly in the first two installments as the plot lays open the whole situation about her character. After the second episode, her storyline will continue to evolve, but she will no longer be seen until the last two episodes of the season.
Fans and reports are convinced that her final comeback will finally resolve the dangers and threats. And, hopefully, will cause the return of Michael Weatherly's character as Tony DiNozzo.
Decipher reiterated Weatherly's time on the show. When he left in Season 13 for a break, NCIS depicted his character, who left the crew to take care of Ziva's daughter since she is presumed dead. However, since Ziva has now come into the light, many are wondering if he will also return to continue their long-paused love story.
There is a huge possibility that he will return once all the threats are eliminated. But, until someone confirms, these will remain as theories and speculations among the fans.
Thankfully though, the next episode is about to arrive and it might just give the viewers a hint about the possibility of his reunion with Ziva.
NCIS Season 17 Episode 2 titled, Into The Light, will premiere on October 1, on CBS.
