People have been wondering about Kylo Ren and what would happen to him in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Although some believe that Kylo will become the ultimate villain in Star Wars Episode 9, others argue that the Force user is set for a redemption arc just like Darth Vader. But, is it possible that a dead character will help Kylo redeem himself later this year? A new leak suggests that Han Solo will return to make sure his son goes back to the Light Side of the Force.
Han Solo was, undoubtedly, the most important person who affected Kylo Ren's story in the sequel trilogy. In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Han tried to talk Ben Solo into leaving the First Order and returning with him to help the Resistance. Unfortunately, Ben ultimately chose the Dark Side and killed his father. Nevertheless, there are speculations that Han will be back in Star Wars Episode 9 to play yet another important role in Kylo's storyline.
The Star Wars Episode 9 leak reveals that Rey will be able to defeat Kylo Ren but will ultimately use her healing powers to save his life. She then leaves him as he searches for the wreckage of the second Death Star where he sees a vision of his dead father. In the vision, Han Solo tells his son that it's "never too late to return to the light and make the right choice." Han's words are said to have a profound effect on the former Ben Solo who finally drops his lightsaber and the name Kylo Ren to return to the Light Side of the Force.
It's an interesting take on how Kylo Ren will be redeemed, but it also makes sense considering that it was Han Solo's death that pushed Ben further into the Dark Side. It's not the same as what happened to Darth Vader when Emperor Sheev Palpatine was torturing Luke Skywalker; yet, it also ties back to how the Skywalkers are ultimately connected to their fathers. Although it is an awesome redemption arc for Kylo, it's important to point out that these details have not yet been confirmed. With that in mind, it's best to take it with a grain of salt.
