The premiere of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is less than a month away but Disney wants to make sure that people are already making plans to watch the highly anticipated sequel this Halloween. A new TV spot offers some interesting new footage from Maleficent 2. In addition to that, it teases on Angelina Jolie's character embracing her wicked ways as she goes to war with the humans.

The premise of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil has already been revealed in the trailers. Prince Phillip proposes to Princess Aurora and, although Maleficent is against the marriage, she agrees to meet the prince's family. Unfortunately, it becomes clear that Maleficent and Phillip's mother Queen Ingrith are at odds with each other. Ultimately, the tension leads to an all-out war between the fairies and humans.

In the new TV spot, the conflict is once again highlighted as Maleficent takes on the soldiers who are making their way into the Moors. Queen Ingrith also insists that Maleficent is the threat to everyone. Unfortunately, this could only mean that Maleficent will need to fight to keep Princess Aurora within her care. However, this could also mean that she will need to face the humans in an epic battle.

Although the TV spot highlights the battle between fairies and humans, it also ends on a hilarious note. At the end of the video, Maleficent sees some villagers wielding pitchforks as she, Princess Aurora, and her loyal Diaval approach. "Humans are hilarious," she says. At least, it's clear that she still has a sense of humor.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will take place five years after the events in the first movie. In addition to bringing back Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, and Sam Riley, the sequel will introduce a new Prince Phillip in Harris Dickinson. New cast members will include the legendary Michelle Pfeiffer as Queen Ingrith of Ulstead, Doctor Strange star Chiwetel Ejiofor as Conall, and Alita: Battle Angel actor Ed Skrein as Borra. The three pixies Knotgrass, Thistlewit, and Flittle, will still be played by Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville, respectively.

The film will be directed by Joachim Rønning, who had previously worked on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. It serves as a direct sequel to the 2014 film that also starred Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, and Sam Riley. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will hit theaters on October 18.
