SuperM is ready to set fans' hearts on fire as SM Entertainment revealed the latest teaser images of the new super idol group's debut. The members looked ready to steal the hearts of many with edgy visuals and high fashion style.
The teaser images came after the release of SuperM's trailer on YouTube and captured scenes from the video shoot with perfect aesthetics from members Taemin, Baekhyun, Kai, Taeyong, Mark, Lucas and Ten, All Kpop reported.
The first teaser shows SuperM leader Baekhyun sporting orange hair in contrast to his all-black ensemble. Joining him in the photo is NCT's Mark, looking smooth with an equally dark ensemble.
The second image showcases EXO's Kai with purple hair and a combination of a black and white outfit. NCT's Taeyong shows a perfect contrast with electric blue hair and an all-black getup. WayV's Lucas takes on the center spot with plain black hair slicked black, a white outfit accentuated with a black tie.
The final images to be released are of SHINEE's Taemin and WayV's Ten which boast of the perfect aesthetic with their contrasting poses and opposite-colored hair. Taemin, recently, went blonde for the SuperM debut.
This early, there is already a huge buzz surrounding the creation of SuperM, which has been dubbed as the Avengers of Kpop by some media outfits. The group is an assembly of popular members of idol groups managed by SM Entertainment and has been described as a super idol group.
Its members include SHINEE's remaining member who is not serving mandatory enlistment, Taemin. He is joined by EXO members Baekhyun and Kai. The more junior idols, who became part of the lineup, were NCT's Taeyong and Mark as well as WayV's Lucas and Ten.
SuperM will be co-managed by SM Entertainment and Capitol Records, which is the agency in charge of handling the career of international stars like Katy Perry, Nickelback and Jennifer Lopez. The group's first album, entitled SuperM, will also be launched along with their debut on October 5 at Capitol Records' headquarters in the U.S.
"This is a total new formation of a group and artist, and also a totally new form for the business. We're maintaining their groups, their solo careers, and on top of this we have this 'Avengers' group to pull them together. There's already an Iron-Man, a Thor, etc; and just like how the Avengers can have their own successful movies, there is a different kind of energy when they are together as the Avengers. We are now creating that as a point of business. We want to create a synergy between their groups, them as solo acts, and the Super M group to create a big wave in this K-pop industry," Chris Lee, A&R executive at SM Entertainment and CEO of Culture Technology Group Asia Europe, said in an interview with Forbes.
