Suits has officially come to an end after Season 9 tie all its loose ends. The show has managed to feature the weddings of Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Donna (Sarah Rafferty) and Louis (Rick Hoffman) and Sheila (Rachael Harris). Now that everything has wrapped up, is there still a chance to have Suits Season 10?
Unfortunately, USA Network didn't leave any indication that there would be a new season. In fact, Season 9 was called the final season for some obvious reason - the show officially came to a close.
The Season 9 finale proved there would be no Suits Season 10. The show ended with Harvey and Donna going to New York to be reunited with Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel (Meghan Markle). In NYC, they could all work together, but with a different theme.
If ever this would be played out, it would be a different dynamic for the show. However, it couldn't work like a spin-off series or the continuation of the show's story. As Rachel needed to be involved, it might be impossible for Markle to return to reprise her role, given that she is now married to Prince Harry.
According to CarterMatt, another possibility that Suits Season 10 would be in the works is by creating a storyline that involves Louis, Samantha (Katherine Heigl), Katrina (Amanda Schull), and Alex (Dulé Hill). But, USA Network has no plans about it either.
It was said to be quite surprising that the show continued for two more seasons after Jessica (Gina Torres), Mike, and Rachel left the show in Season 7. ScreenRant noted it was a bold decision for the series to continue without almost half of its original cast.
Although there were no characters introduced, the show had been known for the great chemistry of its main cast members, especially Mike and Harvey's dynamic. This might also be the reason why Adams accepted the offer to reprise his role for the final season.
Even though there would be no Suits Season 10, the fact that the show honored Mike and Harvey's duo to team up again for a new cast surely made fans happy. It was the perfect way for them to bid their goodbye to viewers officially.
Despite the show's ending, a new story opened with Pearson. The spinoff series tells the story of Jessica, as she enters the murky world of politics in Chi-Town. She now explores a new environment after she left the New York firm and the corporate law behind. The show is now waiting for a Season 2 renewal, while the hopes are still high for Suits Season 10.
